Weird situation: How to get new DC car tags during COVID?

So I'm thinking about buying a certified pre-owned car from Massachusetts and having it shipped here to DC. Problem is, MA doesn't issue temporary tags. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem - I'd just get those at the DMV. But the DMV is closed now and might be closed for a while. I can't be the only person dealing with this - anybody know if there's a process set up to get DC tags for a car that doesn't have them?
I know DC has an online form for 5-day temporary tags - would I just use that? (Here: https://public.dmv.washingtondc.gov/BusinessPages/VR/Renewal/VR_Renewal_Search.aspx) Appreciate any help! |

| You probably have to wait for the DMV to reopen. Maybe that’ll happen in Phase 1? |

| I bought an out of state used car and used a private tag and title place in MD to get tags. Paid an extra fee but it was done in 15 minutes. I also could have mailed everything in. |
