Medicated IUI for PCOS - what medication worked for you?

Anonymous
I am 30 with PCOS (almost no periods naturally) and trying IUIs. I am using donor sperm which means every attempt is extremely expensive (that stuff is $1000 a vial) so I really want to maximize the chances. I did one cycle with Letrozole + Ovidrel that did not work. What worked for you?

IVF

Studies show letrozole is best for PCOS. If you were able to ovulate and do the IUI then the medication did its job. Medicated IUIs have relatively low success rates compared to IVF, but of course cost less and are much less invasive.

I had a much better response on Letrozole than on clomid, but 5 IUIs (2 to 4 mature follicles each time) didn't work for me. IVF did.

Fsh/follistim/bravelle and NO CLOMID. Any cycle that was just CLOMID or CLOMID and fsh failed. The two cycles that were just the injectible fsh meds both resulted in successful pregnancies.

The only thing that worked for me was IVF.
