Did anyone get in/wait listed/rejected? Just curious how competitive they are.

We were waitlisted for K. I was told by a neighbor that it is getting more competiitive each year. Based on the number of children at the play visit there seemed to be _many_ more applicants than space.

I would also be interested in hearing if others were waitlisted and if the waitlist is real.

Got in for K! The two other families I know who applied to Lowell for K also got accepted.

For any of these schools you can look at the ratio of applications to acceptances to determine roughly how competitive they are.

The second edition of Georgia Irvin's book includes those figures for all schools that replied to her survey (and most of them did). They are a few years out of date, but you can get a general idea from those numbers, and you can compare the ratios across schools.
