| Now that demand is down, many delivery services have raised wages, and we’re two months in, how much are you tipping now? Do you have a minimum or maximum tip or is it always a flat percentage? |
| You should start at 10% |
| In April Instacart shoppers definitely expected 20% |
| $100 on every $400 order. |
|
10% of my total |
| About 20%. Order is usually $200-$250. |
| 20% |
|
10% on an order that’s about $300. So $30. It goes to the driver. I wish that Amazon/Whole Foods interface would allow me to tip the shopper too but right now the tip goes to the driver entirely.
|
| $25 - $50 or 20% usually which is higher |
|
20 percent.
|
| 25% but we'll round up. |
|
25% for COVID.
15-20% before that. |
| 20%, which must be pretty good since my orders are getting chosen quickly. |
|
10% for Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh, since they are just driving the items to my house. I usually order $200 at a time and tip around $20-25. For smaller orders, I tip a higher percentage, like $10 tip on $50 or $15-20 on $100. I think $10 should be a good minimum tip.
With InstaCart , the driver is also the shopper and pay is lower I think, so I would tip more. But I haven’t used them due to all the bad things I’ve heard. I’d love to get some items from Wegmans and Hmart that way. |
Chosen how? Which service lets shoppers choose orders and with tips visible, Instacart? |
