We had a great experience with Camp Horizons. Our DD loved it there and has made some great friends. When she returned all we heard about for the next month was about how "camp sick" she was. They have a wide range for activities for the artistic kid to the more sports/outdoors kid.
The cabins were really nice. Not roughing it at all, bathrooms in the cabins, fans, and very clean. The staff was also wonderful. You can tell they really are there for the children. It was also nice to get a letter home from our DD's counselor letting us know how she was adjusting to camp. The food I heard was decent. Some meals were favorites while others were so-so, but DD is a picky eater. They always offered PB&J as an option and a salad bar which was good. I hope this helps!
