Governor Larry Hogan has ordered an extension of all driver’s and business licenses, identification cards, permits (including handicap parking permits) and registrations that expire or are eligible for renewal during the state of emergency. As a result, they will not expire until the 30th day after the state of emergency has been lifted. |

| Bump because although I didn’t need to renew, Maryland MVA had been bugging me to bring in documents to upgrade my current license which is good until 2025 to real ID status. There’s no easy way to make an appointment online for this - the dropdown list didn’t include that option - but I called and got an appointment for next week. Super easy. |

I don’t know if an expired license works for getting carded or not. I do know that an expired passport was not OK for my kid to open a checking account - even with a birth certificate also. |
