I was wondering how everyone feels about the decision to go ECNL as opposed to staying in MLS league, and also what you plan to do.
Personally I am unhappy with the decision as I would much rather have gone with the MLS/ex-DA clubs. However I think we will likely stay at Arlington. |
| Crying about it now will get you no where you had your chance to speak up |
| So it is a choice btw DCU and Arlington |
| I think it is only temporary. Very likely, Arlington will join MLS league after next season. |
| .. and BSC for MD players... |
Not an easy decision, but we will go to DCU if offered.
|
| Is DCU academy still gonna train at RFK or moving to Loudoun? |
I think it depends on the age group. In the younger age groups, you can wait and see and enjoy training with good coaches. If you're older, you may want to move to DCU to get more exposure even if the coaches are horrendous... |
You really think parents had a voice? If it was up to the parents Arlington would be in MLS right now....the decision was done by Club's Admin. before it was presented! Coaches didn't have a voice either... |
Huh? What chance was that. Even the coaches didn't get a choice as I understand it. |
I think you would have had offer by now if you were going to get one. No? |
Loudoun. Not ideal for Arlington or Bethesda parents. Doubtful many Arlington kids could make either squad anyways. |
Are you certain re Loudoun practices? My understanding was that this was not the plan at least for the U15s as recently as a few months ago. Has that changed? Not sure what you mean by "many", but I know of several (which might be different from "many" but is more than "one or two") who already have offers from DC United. Not sure how many of those will accept though. |
| Parents aren’t thrilled but most realise this Fall is going to me a mess/joke anyway due to the virus and other teams aren’t really having tryouts so most will deal with it for 12 months and reassess next Spring. |
Why are parents not thrilled |
