I have mid length hair with strands of short ones on top that stick out
I've tried gels, hairspray etc the thicker gels work but also leave me with a thick icky layer that makes me need to wash my hair more frequently. I have mid to thick hair - any recommendstions please? |
| I have this type of hair as well. I believe that your problem is your hair length. I think that with this hair texture, you have two choices: long (past your shoulders), or very short. I find that the most difficult length is chin to shoulder. Another solution may be to flat iron your hair - it will cause damage if you do it daily, but a few times a week should be OK. |

Op here- I should clarify that me bits of shorter hair
are hairs that I pulled out (getting rid of grays$ rather than my haircut. I am stopping pulling strands but am stuck with an overall halo of short bits that ate unruly . My hair length is shoulder length. Thank you ! |
| Have you ever used the Deva-chan products (pronounced Diva-shahn)? Its a whole set of products and a process to styling curly hair. I have friends who swear by it, and I used to do it, and still use some of the techniques. Their products when used together do work on frizz overall, along with the tip to only dry your hair by bending over and scrunching it upwards with a t-shirt or shammy, NEVER a towel, is awesome. I saw immediate improvement in the frizz with that tip alone. |

I like Ouidad Climate Control Heat and Humidity Gel. It holds well without being thick or sticky.

| my friends over at naturallycurly.com have turned me onto natural hair products that i found at whole foods. i am a big fan of natural oils such as coconut oil and jojoba oil. Dr. Bronner's style cream is a product that I use to tame flyaways, as well as giovanni frizz be gone. |
