What's the verdict on PPA?

Anonymous
Parents are supposed to decide by tomorrow whether to stay in or out. PPA sent a somewhat threatening email on Monday and expects a decision within 72 hours. We have never been that happy what they offer but always came back because it was convenient. Now they want us to continue paying monthly fees throughout the summer even though we don't even know if there'll be soccer in the fall. Someone please help me figure this out!

Is this their level above rec?

We're in the same boat and yes this is for PPA Premier, their "travel" soccer level. We have been less than impressed with the overall program. I think we aren't returning.

PPA sucks.

OP here again. We're not opposed to supporting businesses that we have good relationships with. We're continuing to pay most of our other subscriptions and fees and haven't asked for refunds for any spring activities from anyone. But PPA's email struck the wrong tone with me, and in the past we often felt we paid too much for services not fully rendered. I'm open to giving them the benefit of the doubt though, anyone on here willing to engage in discussion? I really need help deciding this one.

Does your child want to continue with PPA next year? Do you have any other options or would you be happy with him/her playing rec for a year? These are the things we thought about when deciding not to return to PPA. I agree that PPA struck the wrong tone and they have done that in the past as well. It's not worth the money in my opinion which is why we are leaving.

I agree with PP. We're signing up with our company moving forward. Not because I agree with how they handled the situation (they have handled it horribly) but mostly for my son (loves the team, loves the game) and that we can afford it. He outgrew his rec team skill wise. And our current drive is great for us during rush hour, etc.

There are so many other options, why stay? Makes no sense to me
