public pre-k spots

I'm curious how/when people find out if they got a spot in a public pre-k after the lottery. It sounds like Lafayette sent a letter--do other schools as well? Will they give you an answer over the phone? what about out of boundary spots?

From what I understand - the out of boundary results will be posted on the Dc shools website just HOURS after the lottery, this coming Friday.
