Where to go after mid-tier BSC?

Anonymous
Finally had enough of BSC.
My 2010 boy needs a new team, assuming soccer ever starts up again.
Middle of the pack in his age group, and wants a team that's fun, but wants to play with kids/coaches that play tactically and know the game.
Must practice near Bethesda.
thanks folks...leaving BSC feels like a huge weight off our shoulders, and looking forward to what's next.

a) local to you, easy commute.
b) somewhere where they have friends already (school, church, neighborhood).

Why did you recommend Select Soccer instead of travel soccer? MSI Academy is travel. Potomac Soccer is travel. MSI Academy practices at Julius West MD......not to far from Bethesda. Potomac practices at Holy Child or Bullis.......not to far from Bethesda either.

I actually am not familiar with those that you mentioned.

I only mentioned above because I had just read the previous post a second before and she mentioned that he was a mid level player. I am not familiar with those you stated but you did a much better job with options.

For the OP, what is it that you were unhappy with at BSC?

Mainly, too much investment (in time and money) for too little improvement.
And, as others have said, tired of seeing kids from outside clubs get most of the open spots on good teams.

Don’t end up as one of the sheep that blindly follows the flock into travel at this young age. Classic is a good level. Find a good coach who pushes the kids and does a good job training and developing.

You will see that there are more players who develop outside of the big clubs at you ages. These smart folks come in at HS ages and displace those there since u9. They struggle with speed of play but those who have the skills and passion for the game will overcome the speed of play after a few months.

Anyone have contact info for them? All the Toca info I can find says it's based in Frederick, so I may be finding the wrong stuff.

They spammed this forum several time in the past. The posts are later deleted, but you can google and see the cached version. They are in Bethesda/Potomac area and full name is toca juniors based on the information I found.

I have no experience with this club.
