| I'm learning to drive with a driving school. I'm an adult. Any suggestions on what car I should get and how to get the most bang for my buck? I'm not rich but need something reliable. |

| Are you buying a new car? Take a savvy friend with you when car shopping. Car salesmen are slick. |
+1 (if it's just you or you have a small family)
+1 again. If you're not comfortable giving a little push back with a car salesman, definitely bring a friend who is and who will advocate for you. I recommend shopping around and don't be afraid to walk away. And check your car's KBB value for a ballpark range of what it's going for. |
| Go to a dealership like Fitzgerald where the sticker price IS the price. |

You're the perfect candidate for a car buying service:

| I leased a car (my first car ever) in October and never spoke to anyone in person or on the phone in the process. Did the entire thing over emails and went and picked it up. I knew exactly what I wanted which helped. It was great not to have to actually deal with car salesman in person. |
| Consider buying a nice used car from a reputable dealer that is climbing off a three year lease. You will save a lot, it will have low mileage and should last for years. |
Yup this is what I did for my first car. And Acura TSX. Got a good deal on 2010 in 2013 and it’s still running just fine. |

Buy used. Cars lose value literally the second you drive them off the lot. Have it inspected before you buy.
Don't buy red. |
| I bought my first car from Hertz' used cars. It had been a rental for a year and half and I had already picked it off the website and was happy with price and mileage. The process was easy. I already had financing approved through my bank so showed up for a test drive and was in and out in about an hour. |
+1 Also check one year old or less dealer loaner cars. Last summer I bought a Porsche SUV that had less than 5000 miles on it for about $10,000 less than new with an extended warranty. |
