Hi - my almost two year old seems to have a hemorrhoid. I will of course consult with a pediatrician but Im wondering if anyone had experienced this also? I read it was pretty uncommon for toddlers to have it. Thank you. |
My DC had a chronic fissure. Not a hemorrhoid.
Ask your pediatrician. |
How’s his fiber and water intake?
Warm baths will help with pain. You may also start putting him on the toilet for a minute or two after meals to help stimulate the elimination reflex. Those training potties that look like a bowl on the floor could be useful so he can squat. He might be constipated and is straining. |
Her fiber intake is fine i think - plenty fruits and veggies. I think I need to increase water intake as toddler mainly drinks milk. She has a bowel movement every day. |
Limiting time sitting on toilet could help. Discourage the urge to push. |
Milk is a binder, so don’t let her over do it. |
If symptom is bleeding it is more likely a fissure. |
