Distance learning and school enrollment

In a hypothetical case that MCPS will not open in the Fall and continue distance learning would it be possible to stay enrolled in the current school if a family decides to move until schools are open?

Why not just homeschool? That would give you more control and quality than this distance learning fiasco.

What do you mean by move? Sell your house and no longer have an address here?

My kids and I are staying with my mother in Florida to look after her, likely for months. They still do MCPS distance learning. We didn’t sell our house or permanently move.

We have considered this, moving to another state to live with my mother while continuing to WFH and attend distance learning at FCPS. But my mother has lung disease and is very vulnerable, it's safer for her to shelter in place without us.

If we did it, though, we wouldn't unenroll or change our address.

We are currently renting and the lease expires soon. At the moment the work is completely from home and since schools are also closed we thought of spending this time elsewhere, but not sure if it will be an issue for the school enrollment in case if online learning continues into the Fall.
