I give up & just order an ipad for 4 year old. It has been painful to entertain him, and he wants to learn & keeps bugging me. I got him workbooks, educational apps, daycare distant learning materials, but those are not enough to fill up his day.
With ipad, please recommend some fun & educational apps for me to download. He can read some level c books by himself & do 1 digit addition/subtraction. He knows some phonics, and loves to play games to earn points/rewards. He is interested in drawing, reading audio books, math quizzes, and answering questions. Because of some reasons, he has weekly tutors working on his reading comprehension & reading books. Thank you! |
I'm not sure if Starfall has an app or is browser-only, but it's great for reading, and has some math games and such as well, I think. Easy for kids to navigate on their own, too. |

The starfall app taught my 5 yo to spell. The moose math (part of the duck duck moose family) has helped him learn some math. |
At that age my son loved Endless Alphabet and Endless Reader. |
There is a Brio Train game that my kid really loves. It’s a few bucks but there are no in-app purchases. Not strictly “educational” but it is fun and my 4.5 year old loves it. |
