So my family was really involved with the Celtics organization when I was growing up and I remember being Robert Parish being REALLY nice to my brother and me (we were early elementary school). Most of the other players didn't really care to interact with the little kids

I have a friend who has hung out with Tom Brady and said he's actually pretty funny and has a much different personality than what he's like on TV. But he's definitely stuck up. Gronk is nice but very much plays into his personality. He knows that's what keeps him a big name. Julian Edelman is ridiculously good looking but very cocky.

I worked in the Orioles organization for a while. Cal Ripken was 100% genuine in his media portrayal. He was always down to earth, even with the little people (I started out as an unpaid intern). He usually paid for big cartered lunches for the front office staff a couple of times a season. BJ. Surhoff was also incredibly nice. Mike Bordick, Brady Anderson, Melvin Mora, and Jeff Conine were nice dudes, too. Jerks that stand out in my memory--Scott Erickson, Mike Mussina, Sidney Ponson (the worst! Such an a-hole!) Something about pitchers, I guess.

OP, I’d give the b-ball players on the court a little break. Easy to exude a mean guy personality on the court even if that’s not you on the court.

My dad worked for the Patriots for about 10 years starting when Tom Brady did. He always really like Tom, but one of his favorites was Adam Vinetiari (I’m probably spelling that wrong, but the old kicker). Generally, he said they were mostly all nice, normal guys and the jerks weren’t very common.

When I was a child, I played soccer once with Mia Hamm. Her husband ( now ex) worked with my father in the military. She was really nice.
