TV show recommendations for a 7 year old obsessed with wild kratts

Anonymous
My 7 year old has been watching these and only these for over a year now. I would like him to branch out. Any recommendations? We tried odd squad, minute to win it etc. They were fun for a couple of days but he back to wild krattts now.

That depends...does he like it because it’s animated or because it features animals?

Martha Speaks
Too Cute on Animal Planet
Nat Geo features lots of animals in their natural habitats

Oh LOVE Too Cute. If he loves animals theres a great documentary on Disney Plus (or Hulu? Can't remember) called "Pick of the Litter" about training service dogs.

You vs wild. My just turned 8 year old loves it and also loved wild Krats. It's like a create your own adventure nature show. Basically the guy goes on adventures in nature and you as the viewer decide if he will 1. Take the canoe across the water or go over the mountain (just an example). They choose with their remote. It's awesome!

There are little nat geo videos on YouTube with names like Tigers 101 and Lions 101 that my kid likes.

My boys loved to watch coyote Peterson on YouTube when they were ages 6-9ish.

My 7 year old has been obsessed with Wild Kratts for years but is starting to move on. It’s such a great show and he’s learned so much. Like a PP said he loves Bear Grylls show and also likes all the nature shows on Disney +. Occasionally he used to watch Zaboomafoo and the Crocodile Hunter too. YouTube also has some great videos similar to the books Who Would Win.

Worth a shot, but he might be too old for that.

Kratt’s Creatures is on prime. It’s their show from the 90s - more animals and less powers but it’s popular here.

I loved their show Zabomofoo. Two other old PBS shows about animals that were really great were Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies and It's a Big Big World.

And in a totally different genre, but my Wild Kratts lover then became obsessed with How To Train Your Dragon on netflix.
