Food, Cooking, and Restaurants

My husband and I are in a rut. We need some suggestions for lunch places on weekends. We prefer places that serve lunch, not brunch. We are in DC but Bethesda, Alexandria or Arlington work too. We aren't picky eaters, but we are usually going for a salad or a good sandwich. Here are our usual go-to places. Cactus Cantina or Lauriol, Red Rocks, Surfside, Spices, Nest, Cafe Deluxe, Minh's, or Vermillion. We aren't fans of 2 Amys or Comet Ping Pong We prefer the places not to break the bank, meaning not more than $40 for two for lunch.
TIA |
| We ate at Chef Geoff's in Tysons, right near the Tiffany's. Did restaurant week so it was $40 but you could eat there for less than that if you don't get the 3 courses. Food was great. Wonderful place. |

http://www.ilovethischicken.com/ Spit roasted chicken, Peruvian style with cumin and crispy fries, cole slaw and green sauce (jalepeno). Very good and cheap. |

| Pie-tanza Pizza in Arlington is good for lunch on weekends. They have good pizza, sandwiches and salads. |
| Liberty Tavern in Arlington has a great lunch on Saturdays. Brunch is served on Sundays. Boulevard Woodgrill is also a good spot. |

| Great Breakfast and Lunch dining. Great prices for great big portions---The Woodside Deli in Silver Spring (301)589-7055 (9329 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring MD 20910). I even used them to cater my daughter's baby naming...AWESOME. Check it out online www.TheWoodsideDeli.om |

Open City in Woodley Park is an upscale diner. It's delish!

This place is kid central, so if you are looking for something for just the two of you, I would not go here unless it is later at night. But if your kids are with you, it is a great place to go! |
| Parkway Deli on Grubb Road. |

Raku is great for lunch.
Is Nest good? |
These posts about the Woodside appear to be ads to me. I've seen them on several threads. |
