Arlington County RE assessment

I believe Arlington County RE assessment has arrived. Is it up or down for your home?

Down 2.6% after being up 2.5% last year.

Down less than 2%. Has been down slightly the past 3 years. We are in 22207.

Ours also stayed exactly the same as last year-- we are in 22205 (Madison Manor neighborhood).

Ours stayed the same (22205). We find it a bit annoying as most of Arlington friends went down (my DH is nosy and checks). So we have friends who live in bigger homes, with bigger yards, paying the same taxes as us now.

But I'm telling myself that it means we made a good investment....right? (lie to me if you have to)

Same with us. Our next door neighbors just bought their brand new 6BR house in August for almost $1.3 million, yet they are assessed at something like $875,000! That is a significant amount less than their house is truly worth. I assume next year it will be more accurate, but maybe not. The house on the other side of us has had an addition on the back of it for many years and is assessed lower than our house that is the original Cape with no addition.
