I’ve been eyeing this property for a few days, surprised it’s hasn’t been picked up. Is this a good area ? The house is gorgeous ! Thoughts? https://www.redfin.com/DC/Washington/1213-F-St-NE-20002/home/9910293/amp |
Looks nice. But the house is basically on Maryland Ave which is loud and busy. Bus and commuter route. Not too far from the big intersection with Bladensburg. Some street crime. I would be interested in comps. The house looks. Ice but I am curious how much was done by owners and how much by flippers? |
$1.5M to live in a neighborhood that isn’t safe to walk around in after dark? Hell nah. |
Bless your heart. |
It’s a very pretty house in (contrary to poster above) a great neighborhood. I live a couple blocks away and walk around after dark. The poster who says it’s basically on MD Ave is right, though—this part of F pokes out so that the house has a full view of Maryland. Houses right on MD routinely sell for over a million, though, so not sure that matters.
It’s zoned for Miner, which would keep some families from buying. |
I agree, I think it's a good looking house , but 1.5mi seems overpriced...
I live closeby, and no concerns with the neighborhood. They're doing a road diet, so MD Ave will go from 4 lanes total to 2 lanes total - project to be completed by summer 2021. |
Hate that dining room and it seems so narrow. Lost all character in its remodel. |
No not good area . Will be one day |
Pretty but that first floor is unworkable for a family. The dining room is really just a hallway where you can shove in a narrow table which means the front room would have to be a dining room. No living room on the first floor. For $1.5 I would like a living room on the first floor. |
Mirrors on the kitchen island???? |
Nice house. Neighborhood is great - I run through there quite a bit. (daylight hours) Price seems a bit high. |
The lack of a coat closet or vestibule on the first floor would be annoying. There is always going to be a pile of shoes, coats and a stroller all piled right there in view of the living room and kitchen. |
Yeah, that dining room looks terrible with that too-big table in it. They really should've staged it with a narrower table. Plus, I hate dining rooms/kitchens with powder rooms that open directly into them. |
Yes! Impossible to walk behind the chairs. What's the weird photo of a damaged wall and light socket? I wonder if these open concept homes will be less popular now that we have experience with multiple family members trying to work from home. |

Better layout, better price and better school for the win! |
