We have been trying for some months now and lastnight I braved it and shot a syringe of raw egg whites in side me. He thinks I have taken this over the edge.

OP - I hear the desperation. You are not insane, but it is also not smart to use real eggwhites. If you do a search on this board you will find advice for olive/canola oil or preseed. Both of which have much less risk for you than do actual eggwhites. Good luck!

I used eggwhite once, and we laughed through the whole experience. It was ridiculous and hilarious.....and didn't work!

OP. You are not insane. When I was TTC I remember reading any number of places that using actual egg white was recommended. Makes sense because it is exactly the right consistency. I could never bring myself to do it b/c of the ick factor -- used preseed instead.

I don't think the odds of getting sick are very high. You are not going to get salmonella in your "woohoo".

I recommend pre-seed. Love it. Doesn't hurt sperm like other lubricants.
