stupid shoe/dress problem

Anonymous
so, I'm in a wedding in March and have to wear a brown tea-length dress. I have been instructed to get brown shoes. first, I think brown shoes are a bad idea - don't they cut of the leg or something, especially with a brown dress cutting me off at the knee? Either way, what the hell kind of shoes should I get? Can you tell I'm not enthused about this wedding (family member).

Do you have a picture of the dress?

i don't think a brown shoe would cut your leg unless it had a strap going around the ankle. why not a regular pump style shoe? i hate spending too much on these kinds of onetime shoes.

Go to a DSW (one at Pentagon Row, another near Montgomery Mall). They have a ton of shoes at reasonable/discunted prices, and it is all self-service so you can just go in, find what you want, and get out quickly. Don't forget to look at the sale stuff in the back, those shoes are super-cheap and you may get lucky finding something you like.

Go for a brown metallic shoe with low vamp and pointed toe. It will elongate the leg and the metallic is fashionable and elegant. Plus, you can wear them with other things.

I LOVE the new word! I'm going to use it as soon as I find a situation to which it can be applied!

Any chance of convincing the bride that gold shoes might be a more versatile option?
