My 5 year old has a persistent dry cough and pink cheeks. Of course my thermometer is being unreliable. I took her temp multiple times and got multiple results (all right around 98 but I don't feel like it's working properly.)
Should I call ped? I'm trying not to panic. |
Why would you panic?
Just do what you would normally do. |
Why do you think the thermometer is broken ? |
Does she feel hot to the touch or not?
My daughter has a persistent cough (no fever) from seasonal allergies. |
It’s prime allergy time, OP. Settle down. |
Lol. Her temp is right around 98, idiot. |
My son, 14yo, had the same symptoms (dry cough, pink cheeks, no fever) for a week or two in March and is fine now. We didn’t go to the Dr. - he has horrible seasonal allergies and I chalked it up to that. |
People are so mean. Take her temperature 1 or 2x per day and monitor the cough. Keep a temperature log if you want but remember it varies with time of day. No other actions unless cough gets worse or fever reads over 100. |
Only one person was mean. Relax |
I mean, she does say that she’s taken her temp a bunch and gotten of relatively consistent readings that are not at all indicative of a fever... but panic! She deserves a little sarcasm. |
agree. This is one thing i love about dcum. If you're being irrational, you will get called on it. OP needs to take a chill pill. |
