med. endocrinologist

Can anyone recommend a med. endocrinologist in the DC area? My blood tests came back and apparently my TSH is high so my RE wants me to go on Synthroid. She would also like for me to see a separate endo just to monitor my thyroid. Any suggestions?

What was your TSH? Curious b/c I think mine is on the high side and my RE insists it is fine. (I have thought about seeing an endo, but haven't gotten around to it yet.)

Mine was 3.08. My OB/GYN first tested me about 5 months ago and I think it was right around this marker and she said it was "normal". But when my RE tested it and this number came back, she said that they want it below 2.5 to start any treatment. From what I have read online, anything b/w a 1 and 2 is "ideal" for conceiving. Very frustrating when you just want to get started asap on treatment!!!!
