Instacart/Costco before store is open???

I placed an order for my parents, and it appears that the shopper is shopping before Costco is open. How is that possible?

Our local Costco started opening earlier, probably intended for vulnerable shoppers.

Maybe that’s what happened. Looks like all the items have been picked up, but I think Costco doesn’t open for another 2 hrs. A little bit weirded out...

Many stores have early hours restricted to seniors and risk groups . Your Instacart shopper must have been allowed in too.

I was allowed in early on the other day at Costco. They told me it wasn't senior shopping hour; they just quietly opened earlier.

When you shop for instacart you have to use the app while doing it. You can only start the shopping session once you are in the store; and you pay with the instacart credit card, which will only work in that specific store and for the shopping session you signed for and within the time frame the app is tracking.
