We have to go to Vegas in mid-April. I'm looking at the flights and they all seem PRICEY!! Not many direct options and the times are weird. We can fly out of any of the washington area airports. Is there anyone who does this more frequently than I do who can point me to any deals on airfare?
TIA! |
i have a second home there and travel there a few times a year. We always take US airways out of dca. they have a nonstop option that leaves around 9 in the morning. The return we always do is the 12 noon returing to dc around 7 or so. I hate non direct flights so if that flight is high I'll check Uniited they have a direct with simiar times. Last option is to fly SWA from BWI it's not that bad of a trek up there for us. We are going in 2 weeks got airfare for 3 direct direct for 894...I use Kayak to keep up with fares. Check it oiut.
I agree with the US airways nonstop. One thing to check is if you need a hotel, US Airways vacation packages will often include the price of a decent hotel (e.g., NY NY) for no more than you would have paid for the cost of the flight alone (one time I think we actually could have saved money by buying a package vs. a flight alone).
Thanks so much. I'd found that USAIRWAYS DCA flight (it works better than the United dulles flight) and it's about $360/person. We're going out for a wedding (and are leaving a few days in advance) so we'll want to stay at the same hotel that everyone else is at. Kids are staying home, so we want to be able to hang out with everyone else and do whatever we want! But I'll check to see if I can find a flight deal that uses our hotel, too.
Southwest has a non-stop from BWI as well
Southwest also has a non-stop out of Dulles now.
