Smell of marijuana

While biking today, some one on the car smoking marijuana drove past me. I was able to smell it. Is there a chance the virus could be transmitted this way?

Why? Couldn’t the virus be in the smell? Isn’t smell air?

No, but sorry about your security clearance. Better get some niacin.

I was biking by Montgomery Mall the other day and a delivery driver by Cheesecake Factory was definitely smoking something. Thankfully not too many cars on the road.

The virus doesn't live in air. The virus lives in saliva and mucous droplets. Odor particles travel farther than spit and snot.

Good story.

I’ve had the same question. If what you breath in is exhaled marijuana smoke and the virus can be transmitted in the air, can it be transmitted that way? Not a dumb question actually.

Yes. It is. You can smell pot from 100+yards away. If the virus was that transmittable we’d be fuct

Nah. Any virus that is stoned looses the ambition to infect others. Unless it thinks you are junk food.

Only tangentially related, as it has to do with smoking and stupidity. Today, I saw a woman out walking her dog, she was theoretically wearing a mask, but she had pulled it down below her chin in order to smoke her cigarette. There's a host of coronavirus violations going on here: the obvious, smoking's gonna kill you, putting your hands to your mouth, taking the mask on and off without washing hands, or mask, in between. Am I right?
