Do you have cotton reusable masks for your kids?

Has anyone sewed one or purchased one?

No, but my kids don’t need to go anywhere and we have plenty of ski buffs if needed. I need to check my sewing supplies and see if I have any fabric that would be good for masks.

No, but they also don't go anywhere other than outside to play

Yes, we used the WaPo pattern and made three for each of us over the weekend.

Where are you all taking your children that they need masks???

The only indoor space my kids are in are in our house.

Yes, I have a kn95 for him. What if he needs to go to the ER or doctor for some reason? Also, more and more, people are using them on trails since it is not always easy to keep a 6 foot distance - we are going to put them on when we pass people.

We made them so we have them for an emergency. The kids haven’t been anywhere they would need them for weeks.

In the rare random chance my kid has to go to the er, we can improvise with a bandana.

Where we live it is no problem walking around. If my neighborhood were so congested we could not stay 6ft from others I think we'd stick to our yard.

Mainly my kids are biking all around, cant imagine they would keep a mask on the second they turned the corner.

I’ve known of two kids who had to go to the ER for fractures or bone breaks lately. You never know when you will have to take your kid to the doctor or clinic or ER. Better to have a mask on hand!

I can't sew and would have to sacrifice some clothing to make no-sew masks so we don't have those. DH did find a couple of old N95 masks in the garage from a past home improvement project. He and I will use them for grocery shopping...the kids aren't going anywhere except walks/bike rides around the neighborhood and on a local trail, so they don't really need them. Heaven forbid we have to go out for medical attention, I'll grab the masks we have plus some scarves if need be.

It was $3. Worth the investment. But you do you.

Yes, we have one for everyone in the family and were provided by a distant relative. I don't know that they will be needed, but if so - they're here.

Yes, I sewed some last week - let them pick out cute fabric from my stash. We used hair elastics since that was all we had.

I've made a couple for each kid, using fun cotton prints from my quilting stash. Heavy knitting yarn for ties. So far the kids haven't gone anywhere that they're needed, but it's nice to have a couple on hand just in case. Might start having them wear them on walks around the block, just to develop the right habits (not touching the mask, etc).
