Walter Johnson is still paying our crew coaches (but crew is different than say soccer).

It wasn't their fault this happened and they're still reaching out to the team and doing exercises and meetings via zoom.

OR should not mean don't pay them at all.

The coached for two weeks. Most have had some amount of contact since then.

I would say pay them about 50% if you want them to return.

Our DC's school/sport has had a horrible time finding coaches that might stick with it for a few years and do ALL parts of the job.

You do know that the coaches barely make any money coaching.

Soccer - $3,750
Baseball/Softball - $4,470
Lacrosse - $3,270

Maybe not per coach, but added up across the county, that is a lot of money.

They should at least get a pro-rated amount for the two weeks they held practices.

MCPS doesn’t sponsor crew as a sport. While it is certainly a sport it’s not one MCPS offers.

If Coaches are being paid it shouldn’t be from WJ or MCPS.

Yeah yeah, every coach and sports place got the memo that if they email out some links to drills from YouTube maybe no one will ask for their money back.

We're drowning in BS online "content" from people not refunding us for ZERO SERVICES RENDERED UNDER THE ACTUAL CONTRACT.

I say this as someone from the JCC who is getting unemployment plus stimulus for not teaching my 2 classes a week! Get laid off, it's lucrative: unemployment + up to $600 a week Pelosi stimulus cheque!
