Montreal in the Spring

We're thinking of a trip to Montreal with our 2.5 year old. I'll be in my second trimester with #2. Any ideas of fun stuff to do or where to stay? I would also like to go to a mountain or lake area for something different. Is there somewhere we can go that is more rural or in a natural setting?
