Roof deck activities for kids?

Anonymous
We live in Adams Morgan and have a small rooftop deck. How can I make the most of it? We flew a kite the other day and have a little garden the kids help tend to. They are 5 and 1. We've also done some dancing and rope jumping, but I'm struggling for new ideas. Help please!

My kids are 3 and 6 and love bubbles and a water table. With the bubbles they really love a bubble machine- they throw a dance party through the bubbles. We need a lot of bubble mix though.

They also play in a small tub of kinetic sand and beach toys.

Water guns! The cool foam water launchers are fun.

Anything with water, hula hoops, messy activities like sand play or finger painting that you might not want to do in the house. I love the ideas re: bubbles and super soakers.

Sidewalk chalk- great for drawing, writing, hopscotch etc

Buckets and glasses of water with food coloring.

Water table.

In all honesty, we stay on our patio as much as possible- eat meals, snacks, play board games, DDs bring their barbies, etc. Pretty much bring the inside outdoors.
