One vacation spot/ activity that was hyped and a let down

One thing I did that I didn't think was all that great.. a river boat ride in Paris. HOWEVER, a school trip was on it so that was probably why. A lot of screaming!

Something that people are now waking up to--much of italy outside of the major cities is very developing world, poor infrastructure, and inefficient.

Vegas. I don’t understand why anyone would willingly spend time there.

NP. I will agree and say Cirque du Soleil. The performers are talented, without a doubt, but between my sleep deprived state and the soothing soundtrack, my friends and I could barely keep our eyes open.

Disney. I seriously don't understand how anyone can like it.

PP here. The crowds, the commercialism, the heat, the disgusting food, and the prices! My family and I just aren't Disney people. We'll stick to our beach and city vacations.

Bahamas cruise. Everything about cruising, to me, is disgusting, overpriced, tacky and horrid. Never again, for me. And this was my opinion 20+ years ago before we started hearing about pirates, power outages, rampant illness, and COVID-19.

Sanibel Island.

It's the type of people Disney attracts, in general.

Didn't expect to but loved Vegas and would love to go back.

Wouldn't go to Disney if they paid me a lot of money.

Most places are inefficient, to keep the tourists out. You don't go to Italy for their "efficiency" you go for the people, food, scenery......

I kind of agree. One thing Vegas has going for it is cheap flights and it's a good launching point to a lot of cool places- SW Utah, Grand Canyon, Death Valley...etc. As for Vegas, some people love it, but it"s changed. I go there for work annually. Restaurants are expensive and though i don't gamble a lot, the payouts seem like less and the drinks comps don't flow like they used to....at least for low rollers like me.

+1 the insane crowding and rushing around. And very expensive.

I’ve been to San Fran a handful of times, and it’s just underwhelming. Ditto for Seattle.
