What percentage discount is your center giving during the closure?

Trying to gauge what is normal. Ours isn’t offering one yet.

A fair reduction would be one quarter.

They said we can switch to a part-time rate, but unclear if that would guarantee a FT slot when this is all over. That would equal about 30%.

I heard from a friend that our old center is offering 45% off. My current before and after care offered 50% or full price to maintain a spot. Upper MoCo area.

Ours said pay or lose your spot, because they have a waitlist. But if every center is saying that, and everyone quit paying, wouldn’t everyone just end up in their own spots again when it’s all done. There isn’t going to be some mass influx of kids who don’t have spots at all this summer.

Ours had a 5% reduction in expenses over 2 weeks of closure in March, so 10% discount on tuition over a full month of closure would be par for the course. This is keeping all their teachers on payroll with full benefits.

0%. My oldest starts K in the fall so I’m considering at least unenrolling her because we won’t need our spot and we can always try for camps or a summer college nanny if things go back to normal before Labor Day.

100%. They credited April tuition that had already been paid and are not charging while they are closed.
