Single prof. parent (disabled kid) w/COVID - can't get COVID test or unemployment claim submitted!

Internist said he is almost positive i have COVID as I have half dozen symptoms, including significant chest pain and fever, headache, joint pain, gastro pain etc. He says they have strengthened the criteria, so no test for me. It would be helpful so my disabled kid could be tested . . .

Also, lost my job but I spent all day yesterday trying to submit an UE claim on DOES, or reach them by phone or email.

I need to be job hunting but kid out of school and I am sick, and trying not to get him sick.

Feels like the wild wild west.

OP again. We are already quarantining - actually I felt it coming on and have been self quarantining for days.

The ability to even submit a UE claim or talk to a human would be nice too!

Suggest you start emailing state and federal agencies with name, address and phone number informing of your situation! Sorry OP. Feel for you!

Do you have a close friend who could help you (remotely) file for UE?
