I am truly impressed by MSDC. So far. |
| Damn, that is impressive! |
|
By far the best operated education agency in DC. Not even close, really. |
|
OP here - though I really hate the new chart format. |
I think it's DCPS that gets credit for this particular link. Gotta give them credit when it's due. MSDC posts data at this link - https://www.myschooldc.org/resources/data |
Cool. Either way, it's good. There goes my remaining 10 minutes of productivity of the week. |

Kudos to them for getting it up so fast! They need to merge Dorothy Height (K-5) and Dorothy I Height (PK). Even they waitlisted PK students this year...there really is a huge demand for seats.
My IB school is Amidon-Bowen. Amazing how many IB folks got waitlisted...no wonder they stopped early action! I'm interested in the fact they only offered 18 PK3 spots. Maybe they are waiting for IB families to enroll over the summer in K-5 and then they'll have seats for siblings? Stevens offered 33 seats with the at-risk priority and only got 20 applications for it. They offered 48 seats for not-at-risk and have a waitlist of 76 kids. Houston elementary has no waitlist for English-dominant PK3. And while Hardy offered 20 seats for OOB students, Deal and Stuart-Hobson each offered 0. |

OMG look at Garrison. 161 waitlisted for PK3. And to think they were trying to close it just a few years ago. And Seaton waitlisted 105.
Langley only waitlisted 14, probably because they offered 49 seats under Early Action. Why does Langley have a negative number for PK4? |

If My child is waitlisted #8 for 11th grade at SWOW when should we expect to hear anything? |

I wouldn't expect anything until after the enrollment deadline. |
Ugg. |
Schools usually have to leave open spots for early stages placements throughout the year. |
| Why did I waste all that time going to open houses? |
Not sure if you’ll come back to this thread, but Amidon only had 18 PK3 seats because they have to do 3 full K rooms next year, and don’t have enough classrooms. Over the course of the next year they will renovate a conference room into a new ECE classroom so 2021-2022 school year should have extra PK4 seats compared to previous years. |
