Spontaneous after failed IVF

Anonymous
How many of you conceived naturally after failed IVF, or while waiting between cycles?

I did, for my second child, after a cancelled cycle. Needed IVF for the first so we were surprised!

I did. Had given up trying IVF and was on the older side. Then I got pregnant

Started TTC at 27.5, no pregnancy. Did 3 iui at 28.5, no pregnancy. I did 2 rounds of ivf at 29.5 for Endo/poor egg quality/low amh. No blasts either round, Dr advised donor egg. Conceived naturally a son 2 months later and a daughter on third try at 33.

Thanks. Youall gave me some hope. I've tried for 7 years, naturally and with treatments. And clinics are closed because of corinavirus so I couldn't do anything for a while 😫

Yup, had a surprise natural BFP 15 months after first baby (second IVF cycle success)

Me. I was waiting to start my third cycle when I showed up pregnant instead. And managed another baby after that. All over the age of 40. It does happen.

My mom - 50+ years ago and they had given up trying and were ready to adopt, in the middle of the process when she discovered she was pregnant with me!

This was me too except it was 8 months after first was born.

A year-ish of trying on our own, 3 failed IUIs, 1 failed IVF, 1 successful IVF, one freaking night of unprotected sex (we were "unexplained" and I didn't want to risk it so we used protection) and I got preggo. Wouldn't have expected it to happen so I didn't even figure out was pregnant until I was 10 weeks along.

A friend of mine who conceived both her kids with IUI and IVF ended up with a "whoops" baby because they also thought they couldn't get pregnant and were not super careful with protection.

Pregnant with #2 now. #1 came after 3 years of infertility and IVF. We tried for a second (including multiple FETs) for 3.5 years with no luck. Gave up and decided DD would be an only child. Found out I was pregnant several months later.
Our only issue was my PCOS.

Love this story!

Yes. Could only afford one ivf cycle and it failed. I was 41 and decided to keep trying to conceive naturally. DH and I started taking supplements, trying to eat healthier, and I started acupuncture. Had a few spontaneous pregnancies that were early miscarriages, but then one stuck and she’s sleeping next to me right now. Good luck and keep the faith.

Yes for my second, first was IVF. Went in for a consult for my second and my hormone panels and numbers were so good. No more pcos. Still took 8 months but that was okay, obviously.

I have PCOS. First DD took 2 years of IUI, IVF, FET to conceive. Multiple FETs after that either failed or resulted in loss. We decided we were one and done. Found out I was pregnant with DD#2 just before my 41st birthday.

I did an ivf cycle last July 2019. 4 embryos PGS tested. One Normal. Transferred that normal embryo in January that failed to implant. Did a second cycle in March-2 embryos both abnormal. Was waiting to do a third cycle to find out that I’m pregnant! I still am in shock (blocked tube, DOR) anxious and a bit terrified that it won’t stick or has genetic issues.
