How to get into a preschool off of a waitlist?

| If anyone has been successful at getting their child off of a waitlist for a well-regraded preschool (not daycare, we are in one now and might stay there depending on choices), could you please share any tips? How often should I follow up? By phone, email? |

| Write the admissions director a thank you note and mention a few things that you like about the preschool. Be sincere and talk about what a good fit it would be for your family. |
