It’s not atypical for DH to have a few days of nondescript fatigue and no other symptoms. He has no fever, no cough, no sore throat, no GI symptoms. So I would think nothing of it except we’re supposed to treat any illness like COVID, right? Obviously we can’t get tested for anything. We’ve been socially distant, but taking DD for walks 2x/day. Today we stayed in anyway because of the rain, and I mostly worked and DH watched the kids and didn’t feel like a walk. But I’m wondering about tomorrow. (And the next day and the next.) If we’re status quo here, can I take the kids out? They’re 4 and 1.
And, if we have to stay home bc DH is tired, when can we go out again? When he feels better? Do we have to wait a certain period after he feels better? I should note - if anyone else starts feeling poorly, or has a fever or starts coughing, then certainly we’d stay home and skip the walks. |
You’re fine with walks. Just obviously stay away from others that are also out.
For your DH. You say that this isn’t unusual for him. Has he previously been seen by a doctor? His symptoms could be something minor like low iron or bigger like thyroid issues. |
Thanks. Yes, it’s been hard to explain to DD why we have to stay away from other people, but we’ve been doing it. And thanks for your concern for DH. His last physical was a couple of years ago but he checked out fine. It was actually on the to do list for both of us to make appointments to get our physicals. Guess we’ll be waiting a while for that! |
Sure you can go for walks. Just keep a six foot distance between you or DD and any other person. Don’t expect her to understand - you just can’t get close now. |
