I give up on screen limits

Me too! But I am a child of the 80s so I don't feel too bad. I kind of want to introduce my kids to the Robert Stack-era Unsolved Mysteries.

I'm so glad we never put a tv in any of the common rooms - it helps us keep the screens to a small minimum.

Sanctimommies gonna sanctimommy, even in a pandemic. Amazing.

This is what happens when you don’t teach children from a young age to amuse themselves. We use screens too much to keep our kids quiet and still in stead of teaching them these skills. Not judging just stating a fact.

PP, didn’t you just use a screen to write your post? Screens are here to stay, they are ubiquitous and we just have to accept it.

No one cares about screen time and no one is going to judge. People are without food, shelter and jobs. Forget screen time. Screen time away!

No problem with some screens. It keeps kids socially connected.

Shut up, sanctimommy.

We’re in a pandemic. Can’t you find some kindness even now?

My child can amuse himself fine with a tablet, though.

We’ve had the tv on since 9 this morning. Luckily we still have childcare since H is essential, so at least there’s no screens 5 days of the week.

We’re cycling the tv on and off. But very liberal with it if we need a break. Tablet is limited still, but also a new thing. Anything that keeps us sane right now.

Eh, PP is right. It’s a basic skill a lot of kids haven’t been taught. It was an unkind statement.

Yes it was. This is an unprecedented situation. It’s not the time to wax poetic about kids not knowing how to entertain themselves. My 3 year old isn’t going to entertain herself for weeks on end.
