Need help introducing cat to very excitable puppy

| In the past I've introduced new kittens to my older dogs, but now it's the reverse: I have a new puppy (14 week English Mastiff) and a 2 year old cat. Puppy is very excitable and goes nuts when she sees Kitty, wants to chase, and Kitty understandably freaks out. How should I proceed? |

| Train the dog not to chase- you need to do this anyway. Till then dog on short leash or crated around cat. |

| You do need to keep the puppy on a leash, with you all the time. |
