Need ideas for weekend trip with toddler

I want to take her somewhere no farther than 2-3 hours away for just a long weekend...I want the trip to satisfy my need to see beautiful landscape (ex: Shenandoah Mountains) or water, but I'd like for there to be a couple of things for her to see, too, although they do not have to be certified child activities. For example, zoos are fine, but natural wildlife great, too. I am thinking hiking trails, parks, boats, can all work.

I think what I am asking is: Are there any trips I can take that a 2 year old might also enjoy? I need a change of scenery and would love to bring her.
