Clinton and the art and finance world folk and people like Ehuf Batak would grand legitimacy in a way Trump never has and we all I hope get that.

I think I somehow missed how recent the meetings were. He’s only resigned from the face of the firm - he’s still there and has all of his shares right? Some of these mfrs are going to try and ride this out.

Of course they will try. And there are so many that it may seem viable. But there is a real disgust factor in what these men did. It goes way beyond not being able to keep their flies zipped up and their hands to themselves. It’s predatory and just disgusting.

At this point I suspect the pitchforks may be coming.

I read Jen Gunter’s piece on her substack about Peter Attia. She’s smart so she has appropriate disdain for longevity influencers. Attia prescribed Clomid to Epstein which is used presumably off label for testosterone production. I know it as a drug in fertility treatment.

Gunter made a haunting point in the comments. Basic but hard to accept. All of these interactions legitimized Epstein and let him abuse more kids, and I’d argue that goes for keeping Maxwell in polite society. The Clintons permitting Ghislane Maxwell to attend as a +1 at Chelsea’s wedding - widely covered - after JE’s sex offense conviction is totally totally insane. There is no way at all that they both would not have known that. No way. There are ten thousand examples of this but I’m highlighting this because I refuse to pretend that the Clintons are maligned heroes in this.

I recognized a name mentioned in a NY Times article and I wondered if he was my friend's father. She's a prominent feminist lawyer who has argued before the Supreme Court. So, you know, a very DCUM type.

Exactly. The fox is literally in charge of the hen house this time. Perhaps the international community's hatred of Trump will light more of a fire than the previous times the victims publicly talked about their abuse. Wouldn't that be ironic? Trump wanted a second term to avoid prison but in the process made sure that he lives in infamy for generations, exponentially more than he would otherwise have. Not sure he really cares though.

Dershowitz sexually abused girls with epstein. Anyways, calling someone an anti-semite has all the weight of calling them a doodie-head. The term has been so abused it's not meaningful anymore.

One of the takeaways I have from this is that morality and basic decency are not values of most extremely rich people. They are working, middle, and UMC values, but not the values of the uber wealthy.
