Do you think first responders/medical personnel/people in essential occupations need help?

Do you think there are people working overtime now that need help with their dogs?

I have 3 cats. I've thought about fostering a dog, but I worry about how my cats would react. I would really like a "temporary" dog experience--mostly I want to be able to walk a dog to help ME get out for more outside walking time.

I was wondering if there are people in some jobs (medical, grocery, etc.) who are working more hours than usual and could use some help with their dogs. I don't need pay--I consider this symbiotic because I need to get outdoors too. What would be the best way to go about finding someone who needs this?

Offer this service on your neighborhood listserv, Craigslist, and Care.com.

Also, Somerset Cottage Poodle Rescue in Virginia needs fosters right now, as does Gray Face Acres.

The first responders I know aren’t working additional overtime....yet. When they get hit with illness in their departments, then they will.
