I live in Chevy Chase and would love to start taking a yoga class. I'm a beginner (have only taken 2 classes ever). Any recommendations of where to go? Thanks!

There are a few yoga classes at Joy of Motion in Friendship Heights. Two are all levels and one is pre/postnatal.

I have gone to Tranquil Space in Bethesda for a long time, and there is also one in Dupont.

My fav is Circle Yoga in DC CC. They are not yoga snobs at all!

Ashtanga Yoga Center in Tenleytown does a basics class--four sessions (I think) where they introduce you to the practice. I had never taken a yoga class before that, and I found it great prep for the level 1 classes they offered.
