| Hoping my coaches will weather this storm. Is there any conventional wisdom for how to support your (potentially) unemployed fitness instructor? Think OTF, spin, barre, Solidcore. Buying a gift certificate to their studio doesn’t go to them, right? Are any studios formulating a plan to help their coaches or facilitate our ability to help them? |
| I'm a fitness instructor on the side. My colleagues are being paid for the next two weeks, but I don't think it will last past that. I am very thankful for that much. All three facilities that I work in are offering online classes in the meantime. I see alot of my fitness instructor friends on FB advertising their online workouts on zoom, YT, vimeo, etc. but several are freaking out about what to do if this goes past the 4wk closure. I am hoping my FT job will last but that Government Shutdown thread has me worried. |
| I am a personal trainer and still seeing my clients in their home or mine, or at a park, with distance, of course. |

^^
I should add I am a single mom and my clients know I cannot afford to go without work. Some of them have given me gift cards ($100 or so ) for Giant/Safeway/Target. I love my clients so much for taking care of me (and my DD) in these times, and I tell them so. |

My yoga studio is business as usual, offering their classes via zoom. Instructors are at home. It's working great.
Fitness instructors can do private training or classes - you can both be on video and they look at your form etc. Game changer. |
