If I Use Family's Hotspot, Can They see what I'm doing online?

I do sensitive work with clients protected health information and won't be able to use my sisters hotspot if the searches are not private. If I use her hotspot is my work still private? Or is it open?

Typically you would create a vpn within the hotspot to keep the info private/separate

Anyone on the hot spot would have to try to get the info and would take more skills than almost anyone had to do so. It’s not like it’s listed there.

IT person here. Generally they can't see the _data_ you look at, but can figure out which website you went to (IP address). That's usually not an issue.

Thanks IT person. So, if I log into my bank account, the person can't see that I'm on their checking my balances? TIA

Not IT person but the IT person just wrote that generally the person could see you were on the bank website but could not see you account info. So, yes, they would know you were checking your balance (only because what else do you do on your bank website) but can’t see your personal banking info.
