Bed and Breakfast recommendations?

Anonymous
We are looking to spend our first night away from DS for our anniversary in a couple months. Does anyone have recommendations for bed and breakfasts in the area (2 hours drive, max)? We are looking for something luxurious and with good food. We just went to Ashby Inn before DS was born. We don't want to spend as much as Inn at Little Washington costs just for one night. Thanks in advance!

Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, MD. It's a beautiful location and the chef is great.

We had dinner at the Inn at Little Washington but stayed at The Herirage House www.heritagehousebb.com . Right up the street from the Inn -- very nice and much more affordable.

We had dinner at the Inn at Little Washington and stayed at the Foster Harris House. The breakfast at the Foster Harris House the next day seriously rivaled our dinner the night before. It is just a block from the Inn at LW. www.fosterharris.com

My husband I just went the Bartlett Pear Inn in Easton, MD for New Years -it was absolutely great!!! The chef Jordan Lloyd and his wife Alice renovated the inn and it looks great -modern and chic. Jordan trained under Michael Richard (chef/owner of citronelle & central richard's in DC) and the meal was awesome. This couple is unpretentious and have done a great job with this inn! BTW, it is 2 hours away from DC so the location would be just what you are looking for.

Have Fun!
