| I can count on one hand the number of times I have missed Mass on a Sunday. I am a caregiver for elderly parents and I just don't think I can risk the exposure. I am going to watch the homebound Mass on EWTN but still... I hate not being able to go to church! |
Hi, Op I get it. My Dh even sings in the choir so he really misses it! Maybe we can start a prayer thread to help us through. Keep safe and well, my friend. |
| How do you miss something that just started, today? Get a grip |

I hear you. If it helps, my church always has an online mass option (for travellers or people who live far away). Feel free to watch it if you don't have a home church option.
It's at churchnativity.com |
Thank you for sharing! |

Yes, it was weird for me to be sitting drinking my coffee today when I am usually setting up for church (we are a portable church and the school we meet in is closed).
You miss the regular faces you see every week. They uploaded a service yesterday (just pastor and band, in our rented warehouse) so I'll watch that shortly. |
| I "went" to online mass and felt weird, but it definitely beats Corona. |
| Why do you think God created coronavirus? |
|
So do we. We do watch TheSundayMass.org pretty frequently because DH has cancer treatments so we feel a sort of connection to that order of priests and the readers, cantor, etc.
My mom is a daily communicant in another city so this is rough on her. But as a PP said, beats coronavirus. |
That’s not at all a Catholic understanding of creation and the natural world. Go ask a fundamentalist maybe? |
When something is part of your routine you miss it the first time it doesn’t happen. For example, if you run out of toilet paper you’ll miss it right away! I missed mass today too. |
| Just try to not sin for a few weeks, I guess. |
| Staying home is an act of love for your neighbors. You may miss Mass for self-interested reasons (communal worship, a sense of routine, the community), but staying home is an act of sacrifice that is in keeping with Christ’s teaching. |
| Be a Christian and do right for the greater good. |
