Who has started looking into homeschool programs for the interim (we could just call it “the blip”)? I am thinking about strategies to keep kids on track in the event this is longer than 2 1/2 weeks and DCPS programming is minimal.
I have a high schooler and a middle schooler. The only real online education products we have used are Kahn Academy when our older one used it to test out of Math 8 between 6th and 7th grade. What have other people used, what are people thinking can work to kids kids thriving and engaged? please share your ideas and concerns. |

Aps has pretty good resources online. At least it can give some ideas for things to google. Maybe other schools can share?

We have used Khan too for our middle schoolers and am looking for other ideas as well.
I am actually optimistic though for DCPS to pull something together for our kids in the coming days based on what I have seen for k-5. |
| My son’s 5th grade English teacher posts mini-lessons on her Instagram. I assume it’ll be even more active during the shut down! www.instagram.com/mrs.polo_ela I know she has taught a variety of grades, so she could have a lot of good resources if you send her an email! |
| My kids tutor is giving us a great deal for a few hours per day since she's off as well. |
Please say she is doing this via Skype or Zoom... |
