Saw a poll on Twitter. What do you think?
Schools and Universities will physically reopen for students: April 1 April 15-ish, as planned. May, sometime June (maybe with modified Summer break) Next Fall |

April |
May. Measures were taken too late and this will spread and peak. They will reopen when the number of cases starts going down. But it won't until they start testing. |
Fall.
Unless they cancel Summer vacation entirely and restart mid-June. The peak of the virus season is supposed to be May. |
I don't expect schools to reopen before May.
I do expect the closures to have a great impact in helping slow the spread. I also think, contrary to what some want to believe, that we aren't going to see many deaths or hospitalizations, but everyone will be extra cautious and delay reopening. |
Hmm, my son is a senior so there is no making up time. I wonder how schools will address the graduate population |
May at the earliest |
If they were to extend the school year (which I really don't think they will do), your son will not graduate till end of July (?) |
Doesn't matter really. Colleges/universities have all delayed midterms and cancelled semesters in some cases. They'll all have to shift around for a fall start. |
May 2021 after vaccine. |
This. |
Wow. I was thinking after easter / Passover. |
May |
May, but it will require a massive effort in April by people to self-quarantine AND some help from "mother nature" (i.e. if the virus starts to subside in the Summer like some people hope it well). Otherwise I think schools will write off the semester.
FWIW our private school told the boarding students if they need to they can go home for the rest of the year and finish school remotely. |
